The Russian ballerina Polina Semionova a principal dancer of the Berlin State Ballet has become the best dancer of the year in Germany, says Facebook of the Russian embassy in Germany.

She was honored by the specialized yearly survey of Tanz magazine.

Every year international experts and critics from Spain, Israel, the United States, Russia and Germany take part in it.

Traditionally, their preferences were wide. Three votes were enough for Polina Semionova to take the first place.

She also used to be the dancer of the year in 2007.

Polina Semionova studied at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and just after her graduation became a principal in the Berlin State Ballet where she worked for ten years. She also became a teacher in a ballet school in Berlin.

Pauline Semionova has had the main parties almost in all famous ballets such as Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Don Quixote etc. Many world theaters would be honored if she danced on their stages.
