Circle of Light Moscow Festival sets two Guinness Records

Circle of Light Festival ended in the Russian capital on September 25 with spectacular pyrotechnic show set two Guinness World Records, TASS reports.

The first achievement was the widest water screen projected laser video. It is twice bigger than the former record belonging to Beijing.

The second record is the largest number of simultaneous flame projections. There were 162 of them. A representative of the city administration received a records certificate. The Moscow government promised to make even more impressive performance next year. 

These are not the first achievements of the Circle of Light Festival marked in the Guinness Book of Records. Earlier, it won three records titles.


According to the organizers, this year the festival technical support may be called perfect. The events were held at seven platforms. This number includes the Teatralnaya Square, Tsarytsyno Palace and the Kolomenskoye Estate, the Victory Museum and etc.

The festival finale took place on the the Krylatskoye Rowing Canal where a unique Japanese pyrotechnic show was held. Even the bad weather did not stop thousands of spectators from getting together to look at it. The fireworks lasted about half an hour, and the lights did not fade for a second. Guests from the Land of the Rising Sun arrived in Moscow as part of the crossroads of the Year of Russia and Japan.
