The residents of Kansas City will see the Russian New Year tree and meet Ded Moroz (Russian Santa Claus) and Snow Maiden (his granddaughter) on December 29. The event will be organized by the members of the Russian House of Kansas City Culture Association. Russian New Year's Traditions program will also be held on January 12. Musicians, actors and an Orthodox priest are going to take part in it.

Summing up the year, the representatives of the Russian House particularly distinguish the celebration of Victory Day. Thanks to the efforts of the organization in 2018, Kansas City celebrated this holiday for the first time and with the procession of the Immortal Regiment. Veterans and their descendants of different nationalities joined the column.

In 2018 the Russian House intensified work with the Russian regions and put to life a number of projects with the authorities and volunteers from Ulyanovsk and Belgorod.

The Russian Culture Association has become an active participant in the Kansas City Ethnic Festival. Their tent there presented Russian dishes and traditional clothes of the nationalities living in Russia. The members of the association performed Russian and Tatar songs on the big stage and were enthusiastically met by the public.
