Architecture and landscapes of Kizhi Museum are represented in China

Residents of China will get to find out more about Kizhi Museum and Reserve, the website of the Ministry of Culture reports. The exhibition called Kizhi. Architecture and Landscapes began working in Wuishan National Park, located in the Chinese province of Fujian.

The photos included in the exhibition show how wooden buildings were erected “without a single nail”, how the Kizhi ensemble was formed during the 18 – 19 centuries. They also show ​​how buildings are preserved today and the nature of Kizhi.

The exhibition is held in the framework of cooperation between the Chinese National Park and the Russian Museum and Reserve, it began last year. Kizhi and Wuyishan manage the World Heritage sites. The opening of the exhibition was timed to host a round table on the conservation of World Heritage sites, and an inter-museum Russian-Chinese seminar.

Note, city of Kizhi won the Zhiva (Alive) award last year. It was presented at the Forum of Slavic Cultures, which took place in Prague. Within the framework of the closing ceremony the representatives of the Museum-Reserve were presented with the main prize and recognized as the Best Place for Slavic Cultural Heritage.
