Youth of Russia and China to have a joint trip to China

The Youth of Russia and China goes together for an 70-year-long friendship project has been launched in Beijing, Rossotrudnichestvo reports. Its organizer is The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) with the assistance of China Central Television.  

Russian and Chinese young people are going to take part in the project. They are to go on a joint trip and visit several Chinese provinces. They will have the opportunity to visit industrial enterprises that were built with the help of Russian specialists. The project will also include a youth forum and other events.

According to Olga Melnikova, the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office, it is impossible to overestimate the importance of youth exchanges and the role they play in the development and expansion of cooperation between the two countries. After all, the future depends on the younger generation.

The Deputy Chairman of the CPAFFC Song Jingwu also stressed that youth exchanges were aimed at the active involvement of young citizens of both countries in the economic, political and humanitarian spheres of bilateral cooperation.
