American Hunter Caywood, who has lived in Russia for several years, said that he was shocked when he first encountered Russian medicine. The American was amazed that he was helped completely free of charge.

Hunter said he injured his knee while playing American football two years ago and went to a nearby Russian hospital. Despite the absence of a Russian passport, they did not refuse to help him - they carried out a diagnosis, reported the diagnosis and issued recommendations.

The American was ready to pay, but he was told that in state medical institutions, care is provided free of charge. Hunter announced that in the United States, he would be billed for a hundred dollars for a quarter-hour doctor's appointment.

According to the American, the prices for medical services are very high in the United States, and a foreigner who does not have insurance will not be treated for free. In a critical situation, help would have been provided, but a solid bill would have been written out.

Hunter Caywood came to Russia from Georgia a few years ago, in the country he is studying Russian and  filmimg a blog, in which he dispels myths about Russia and Russians popular among foreigners.
