More than 46,000 applications for education in Russian universities were received from foreign applicants. They expect to continue their studies according to the quota allocated by the Government of the Russian Federation every year. This is reported by Rossotrudnichestvo on its Facebook page (Education in Russia portal).

The submission of applications ended on March 15. The largest number of them came from the residents of Tajikistan - almost 5300. From Afghanistan - more than 3600. Uzbekistan (about 3000 applications) closed the top three.

At the beginning of April 2021, it is planned to test about 7,000 foreign citizens through the proctoring system (a procedure for conducting a selection test in a remote form with direct observation of a participant in the event.)
