The Russian authorities plan to increase the quota of grants for students from Bosnia and Herzegovina by 50 percent. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov after the end of the meeting with his counterpart Biseroy Turkovich. Their conversation took place on Tuesday, December 21, in Sochi, TASS reports.

The Russian minister praised the development of bilateral relations in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. According to him, more and more Bosnian students want to study the Russian language. Therefore, a decision was made, Sergey Lavrov added, to increase the number of quotas.

He also thanked Bosnia and Herzegovina for supporting the Russian proposal to open a cultural center there. Recently, a festival of Russian spiritual culture was held in Sarajevo.
