Week of Culture and Politics of Russia held in Mexico

Literary seminars, film screenings, broadcasts of works by Russian composers, a conference for students and teachers, and other events took place in Xalapa (Mexico) as part of the first Russian Culture and Politics Week, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.

The series of events was organized by the Russian House in Mexico City, the Russian Embassy in Mexico and the Higher School of Veracruz. The program of the Russian Week included seminars on Russian literature, screenings of films made by legendary Russian and Soviet directors.

The issues of modern politics and the economy of Russia, as well as areas of cooperation between countries were discussed during the conference

Representatives of the Russian embassy and the Russian House told local residents about the opportunities Russian universities are redy to offer for foreign students. The Russian House sent books and textbooks on the Russian language to the library of the Higher School of Veracruz.
