More than 360 Senegalese students attended Russian Week of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science

More than 360 high school students in Senegal studying Russian attended the events of the Russian Week of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. Russian teachers from Senegalese educational institutions also took part in the Week, the Russian House telegram channel reports.

The program of the series of events included lectures, workshops and scientific quests. High school students learned a lot of new and interesting things from the world of science in Russian. As part of the project, they developed complex topological figures and competed with artificial intelligence.

The Week's events took place in four lyceums in the Senegalese cities of Dakar, Thies and Bambay, 365 high school students took part in it.

The Russian Week of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science was organized by Rossotrudnichestvo and the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University with the support of the Russian Embassy and the Ministry of Public Education of Senegal. Teachers from the Russian university conducted more than 40 hours of training for Senegalese schoolchildren as part of the project.
