Russian Language Olympiad held in Egypt

The annual Olympiad in the Russian language among the Egyptians  took place on March 15 in Cairo. University students, who study Russian, as well as the students of Russian language courses at the Russian Houses in Cairo and Alexandria, participated in it, the Russia House telegram channel reports.

The Olympiad was held in four areas: "Translation from Russian into Arabic", "Translation from Arabic into Russian", "Lexical and grammar competition" and "Creative competition". The students with the best results will be awarded at a ceremony to be held on March 24 at the Russian House in Cairo.

80 students from 25 Russian schools in the country became participants in the February Olympiad in the Russian language in Italy. The event was held with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation. The main prize for the winners was trips to the summer language camp.
