More than 150,000 books in Russian will be handed over to Donbass schools, RIA Novosti reports. The books were collected by the United Russia party and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

According to Andriy Turchak, who heads the General Council of the United Russia, the books will also be sent to the liberated regions of Ukraine.

The books will supplement the collections of school libraries, which will allow children to improve their knowledge of the Russian language and help them study subjects in Russian.

In addition, United Russia helps teachers prepare for the start of the school year and switch to Russian educational standards. ''We provide schools with equipment and literature,'' Andrei Turchak explained.
