New Russian animation is becoming increasingly popular among residents of some American and Asian countries, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes. Luntik, the Fixies and other cartoons are leading in the ratings. Even in European countries, where anti-Russian sanctions are now unusually serious, the recognition of some Russian cartoon characters reaches 70%.

Masha and the Bear became the most popular Russian cartoon. In Europe, 70% of the audience knows its characters, and in Asia, this figure reaches almost 90%. Smeshariki is constantly watched by 50 million people. In China and Macau, the new Russian cartoon, Beeography, is in great demand.

Experts note that now many have realized that Russian animation is at a high world level.
