The world record was set by a young Russian athlete Daria Samokhvalova, RIA Novosti reports. The figure skater, who trains at the academy of Olympic champion Tatyana Navka, completed the longest jump sequence, consisting of 36 jumps. The 11-year-old champion of the Moscow region in her age category was able to make five of the seven jumps existing in figure skating.

Prior to this, the record belonged to another Russian woman - Veronika Zhilina. She included 19 jumps in her program. At official tournaments, skaters can include no more than three elements in cascades.
