The head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, called the signing of an agreement on the recognition of documents on academic degrees by the states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) a very important event. He stated this following a meeting of the intergovernmental council of the association, TASS reports.

Mishustin spoke about the signing of a document according to which holders of academic degrees from the EAEU states can work in their specialties in any of the five countries included in the association.

According to the Russian Prime Minister, in the old days it was necessary to confirm documents on academic degrees, and the procedures varied depending on the state, university and specialty. Mishustin noted that the confirmation was long and complicated.

He is sure that the signing of the agreement would stimulate the exchange of specialists between states, give impetus to the free movement of "goods, services, labor and capital" in the space of the five countries.
