Russian Teachers Abriad project launched

17 countries will be covered by the Russian Teacher Abroad project in the coming academic year, the Center for International Cooperation telegram channel reports. Ten more African, Middle Eastern states and countries of Southeast Asia have been added to the list.

Advanced training courses were held for teachers who are going to work abroad. They listened to lectures on the use of innovative methods and digital technologies in teaching. 

The full-time program included courses on modern tools for teachers, forms of professional cooperation, aspects of teaching the Russian language, and formats for the work of the Association of Russian Schools Abroad.

The Russian Teacher Abroad project will cover the African continent. It will be joined by Egypt, Ethiopia and Djibouti. It aims to promote the study of the Russian language, and also popularizes Russian education in other countries.

Previously, the project operated in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Mongolia, Serbia, Uzbekistan and Turkey. In the next academic year, the project will expand to China, Venezuela, Cuba.
