Residents of Ukraine began to listen to songs in Russian more often, despite the bans imposed by the country's authorities. The popularity of Russian songs is growing not only in traditionally Russian-speaking regions, but also in those areas whose residents speak Ukrainian, the Tavriya website reports.

The increase in the number of Ukrainians listening to songs in Russian was announced by local ''patriots'' who are not happy with this fact and urge residents of the country to report ''violators.''

It is noted that Russian music is popular among many Ukrainian military personnel. Thus, the police of the Kirovograd region are checking a militant of the Ukrainian armed forces who ordered Kalinka-Malinka to play in a cafe.

Earlier, in the Poltava region, a large fine (up to one thousand seven hundred hryvnia) was issued to a group of girls who listened to songs in Russian at a bus stop.
