14.11.2023

The Center for Open Education and Russian Language Studies starts working in Tanzania.

St. Petersburg State University is opening this center that welcomes students, teachers, and anyone interested in delving into Russia's rich history and heritage. The center offers classes and will host various cultural and educational events.

Specialists from St. Petersburg conduct master classes and professional development courses for Tanzanian teachers, as well as intensive Russian language courses.

The center will benefit from the expertise of Irina Kataeva, a prominent specialist, methodologist, and author of renowned Russian language textbooks. Well-known among those interested in the Russian language in Tanzania, Kataeva has a background in teaching Russian language courses for servicemen entering military universities in Russia.

Applicants studying Russian language participate in competitions to secure spots in Russian universities. These classes, lasting two weeks, provide participants with knowledge of the Russian language and culture.
