Silk Road Rally will pass through Russia, Mongolia and China

Participants of the next Silk Way rally-raid will drive along the route laid out on Russian, Mongolian and Chinese territory, TASS reports. 

Project manager Vladimir Chagin has promised an extraordinary journey in the upcoming rally-marathon. The route spans over one and 500 kilometers, with four stages in Russia, four in Mongolia, and three in China. 

The route will take participants through Barnaul, Gorno-Altaisk, Kosh-Agach, Mongolian Khovd, and Chinese Khorgos beginning on July 5 in Tomsk. The organizers are confident that participants will not only relish the competition but also gather unforgettable impressions from exploring the cultural and historical riches of the countries along the way.

As we reported earlier, the victory in the overall standings was won by the crew of Andrei Rudskoy and Dmitry Karpov from the NG-Energo team in a Russian-made car. Among trucks, the Belarusian team MAZ-SPORTavto won. Most of the victories and prizes in other categories went to Russian racers, a number of awards were won by participants from Turkmenistan and Belarus.

The riders traveled over 5,000 kilometers in nine days, the route passed through 13 Russian regions. The Silk Road was held for the 13th time, bringing together 67 teams from Russia, China and the CIS countries. Trucks, SUVs, ATVs, motorcycles and ATVs started the race in Kazan.
