Northeast Federal University (NEFU) and Hanoi University of Business and Technology (HUBT) have agreed to develop cooperation, TASS reports.

The agreement on cooperation involves academic exchanges. Soon, students from Yakutsk will go to Hanoi to study the Vietnamese language, while students from Vietnam will study Russian at NEFU. The Russian university noted that a Russian language and culture center has begun operating at HUBT. The Russian World of Asia Forum is also planned. Its participants will be leading experts from various Asian countries. The scientific and practical conference will be held for the 3rd time.

Over 3,000 Vietnamese are studying at Russian universities in the current academic year. Cooperation between the two countries in the scientific field is actively developing.

Vietnam is preparing to hold an international conference dedicated to modern methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language. On the eve of the conference, which opens on November, 30, the International Russian Language Olympiad will be held for Vietnamese schoolchildren.
