Russia helped equip a computer class in one of the Kenyan schools, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports. The charity event took place thanks to the Country for Children project. According to Commissioner for the Protection of Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, the computers were delivered to the Tabor Happy School. It is located in one of the poorest areas in Kenya, with a student population of over 100 people.

School manager Alfred Okumu said it was the first time the children had seen such equipment. He thanked Russia for the assistance provided and noted that the children would be able to study IT and use developmental programs. The head of the educational institution promised that they would find a professional teacher for this.

Maria Lvova-Belova said that schoolchildren got interested in Russian cartoons. She added that humanitarian actions in African countries will continue.

Earlier, the construction of a children's charity center started in Kenya. It is carried out by the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa. The project is being implemented with the assistance of the Children's Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova and with the participation of the Country for Children charity foundation.
