More than 30 agreements on international cooperation were concluded by the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) last year, said the rector of the university, Boris Korobets. Among the partners are representatives of Argentina, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan and other countries, TASS reports.

More than 60 delegations from China became guests of FEF. Agreements were reached on student exchanges and joint research. One of the important topics was the preparation of a scientific conference on teaching Russian and Chinese languages at universities in the two countries.

This year, more than 4,000 foreigners from almost 90 countries applied to study at the university. For the first time, representatives of such countries as France and South Sudan became FEFU students. Over three years, the number of students from abroad at the university has increased by 1,5 times.

Outside Russia, there are fifteen FEFU schools for studying the Russian language. In addition, the university has five foreign branches and representative offices.
