More than four thousand people joined the march. According to the president of the Youth Russian society, Igor Kochan, Russian expats and natives of CIS countries marched along with the local US population. He has claimed that Americans show more and more interest to this campaign.

The Immortal Regiment marched along the streets of Boston, San Diego, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Detroit for the first time.

A motor rally took place in Florida, which became a traditional part of the Victory Day celebration. The final destination of the motor rally was Miami where a festive concert was held. The schoolchildren from Russian schools sang military songs. The WWII veterans were among the guests. Russian-American community center in Florida organized this motor rally. The cars overcame about two thousand kilometers, starting from Orlando. They passed Saint Petersburg, Largo, Tallahassee and Palm Coast along the way. They cut St. George ribbons in all these cities.

The mayor of Tallahassee, which is the capital city of Florida, sent an official congratulation letter with the Grand Victory Day to the Russian community. The organizers are sure that the local authorities acknowledged that the Victory Day should be celebrated in Florida too. Besides, this kind of letter is very precious in the light of anti-Russia hysteria.

In Washington, a column of people set off from the US President Residency towards the Second World War Memorial at the National Mall – the main avenue of the country, accompanied by the melodies of the accordion and war songs, where the participants laid flowers to the memorial.
