Russians get 7 medals at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship

SK Syberian BarsRussian athletes have brought 3 gold and 4 silver medals from the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship that took place in Bogota, Columbia, RIA Novosti reports. About 1000 best sportsmen from 80 countries have participated in the event.

Dmitry Belenets stepped on the top of the victory podium two times – he's got the gold in fighting for the fourth time, and in team events. Alan Kankulov has become vice champion in Ne Waza discipline.

Four medals went to Oksana Moskalenko two silvers as an individual champion, one gold in team events, and silver in Ne Waza discipline.

Jujutsu refers to systems of “soft” unarmed combative techniques, and is said to be one of the oldest branches of Japanese martial arts.
