Perm orchestra receives two prestigious international awards

Two records made by MusicAeterna orchestra under the artistic director of Perm Theater of Opera and Ballet Teodor Currentzis received prestigious Japanese Record Academy Award, TASS reports.

One of the two recordings - Pathetic Symphony by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, was granted with the golden award. Recording of W. A. Mozart's opera Don Giovanni has received the silver. It is worth mentioning that Don Giovanni performed by Perm musicians has received prestigious prize Edison Klassiek in Netherlands.

Record Academy Award is an annual award that was founded by musical issue Record Geijutsu in the beginning of 1960s. It is one of the most prestigious classical music awards in the world.

Edison Klassiek is one of the oldests and prestigious annual awards, as well. It is granted for high music industry achievements.
