The main organizer of such tours is Finland – Russia friendship society. According to Backman, already dozens of people signed in for the tour, many of them coming with their families. This group will be the first one to go to Yalta, later this year several more groups will be formed.

Backman added that in the Soviet times the Finnish tourists often went to Crimea choosing this peninsula for family vacations mostly. Now such trips are revived. Some Finnish citizens leave for Crimea for several months.

Finland proposed to open a specialized center in Crimea for organization of ongoing tourist flow from this Scandinavian country, inflow of investments and arrangement of cultural exchange programmes. The representatives of Finland would like to find their compatriots living on the peninsula to develop relations with them further on.
