WorldSkills participants and experts need no Russian visa

Participants of the world professional skills championship WorldSkills will be able to stay in Russia without visas, TASS reports. The capital of Tatarstan Kazan will hold the tournament next year. The contestants, experts, delegates and the other accredited participants will enjoy the visa-free regime.

According to Emil Gubaidullin who is in charge of the project they are currently working on the issues related to the delivery of the equipment and supplies for the tournament to Russia.

Kazan Expo exhibition center  is chosen as the central stage for WorldSkills. An area of almost 75 ha is allocated for the construction of the object not far from the Kazan airport.

The organizing committee of the tournament has already received more than eight thousand applications from people who want to become volunteers in the tournament. They were sent from seventy different countries. Applications can be submitted until the end of this year. Two and a half thousand people are planned to be selected.
