Russia Contemporary lecture series dedicated to Russian contemporary art will take place in London, The Art Newspaper Russia reports.

The organizers of lectures are Saatchi Gallery in London and British Hermitage Foundation.

Local art lovers will attend the performances of Russian artists. The creative encounter with abstractionist Vlad Kulkov on January 30 will be the first event of the project.

The curator of Hermitage 20/21 project Dimitri Ozerkov selected the speakers of monthly lectures Asya Marakulina, Denis Patrakeev, Ivan Plusch, Evgeny Granilshchikov and Andrey Kuzkin.

The project is focused on assistance to the artists, whose works are well known in Russia, to let them reach the audience of Great Britain.

The collaboration between Hermitage Foundation and Saatchi Gallery started more than 10 years ago. The pictures from Gallery’s collection were presented on the USA Today and Newspeak: British Art Now exhibitions, which took place in Hermitage Museum.
