Russian Seasons opened in South Korea with a jazz piano recital

The concert of Russian jazz pianist Sergei Zhilin took place in Seoul. He performed in the capital of South Korea with his Phonograph-Jazz-Quartet orchestra. The concert was timed to coincide with the year of cultural exchanges between the two states, according to the website of the Russian Seasons festival.

The Russian musician enjoys the recognition and love of the public. Sergey Zhilin performs both with solo improvisations and within the framework of piano duets. He takes part in jam sessions with fellow jazz, blues and rock musicians. Sergey Zhilin, together with his team, took part in Russian and international festivals, filming rating television projects.

South Korea is hosting the Russian Seasons festival this year. Theatre and ballet performances, art exhibitions to be presented to the attention of the Korean public. The festival program will include tours of the Boris Eifman Ballet Theater, the Mariinsky Theater, and the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. The Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, the New Russia Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yuri Bashmet and other creative groups will also perform.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov opened the Year of Mutual Exchanges between Russia and South Korea. He recalled that the large-scale event was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. This year they turned 30.
