Participants of Silk Way Rally to travel almost 5,500 km across Russia and Mongolia

The length of the route of the Silk Way Rally-Marathon this year will reach almost 5,500 kilometers. Most of the way - 3400 kilometers - will be high-speed special stages, RIA Novosti reports.

The tournament starts on July 1 in Omsk, the rally track covers not only Russia, but also Mongolia. It is planned that the participants of the rally will finish in Ulan Bator. Cars must pass through Novosibirsk and Gorno-Altaysk through the territory of Russia. Then they will cross the Mongolian border and proceed through the cities of Mongolia: Ulgiy, Khovd, Altai, Bayankhongor and Ulan Bator.

The rally will finish on July 11 in the Mongolian capital.
