A photo exhibition dedicated to the 320th anniversary of St. Petersburg and the 25th anniversary of the Agreement on cooperation between St. Petersburg and Montevideo in the trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural fields kicked off at the Museum of the History of Arts of the Uruguayan capital, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia reports.

The opening ceremony was attended by Russian compatriots, diplomats, Uruguayan politicians and public figures, as well as journalists.

The photo exhibition will run until May, 27.

In early April, an exhibition by Jérôme Fauré opened in Paris, telling about the French photographer's multiple trips to Russia. Visitors to the Russian House of Science and Culture were able to see the natural views and inhabitants of the country, photographed by the Frenchman seeking to better understand the phenomenon of the Russian soul.
