Crimea invites Russian compatriots living abroad

Russian compatriots living abroad have got the opportunity to visit a week-long excursion along the Crimean peninsula. This prize will be provided to a winner of the quiz called Crimea in the History of the Russian World, the World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots Organizations reports.

The contest organizers are Crimea's Ministry of Internal Policy, Information and Communication and the Permanent Mission of the Crimea Republic to the Russian President.

According to the organizers, the competition will open new opportunities for participants and see a vast and diverse history and culture of the peninsula.

The applications are accepted from September 1. People should register and answer online twenty-question-quiz before November 9. In addition to the correct answers, participants have to write an essay on what Crimea means to them. The best contestants will get a reward - a week trip across the Crimea for two persons. Crimea remained home to many different peoples for many centuries. During this time it assumed the variety of their cultures, traditions and customs. The peninsula has a mixture of nationalities, natural beauties, sights of different eras, antiquities and modern things.
