Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov noted that the statements of Zelensky, who spoke out against attempts to split Ukraine’s society according to the language principle, should be extended to the religious sphere. In addition, the most appropriate start for the new Ukrainian President would be a dialogue on the exchange of prisoners in accordance with the Minsk agreements on the principle of "all for all".

This is how the Head of Russian diplomacy commented on the speech of Vladimir Zelensky after his inauguration, RIA "Novosti reports.

Earlier, the Press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov expressed hope that it would be possible to establish a dialogue on the exchange of convicts with the new government, but before that there were certain problems with the qualifications of these individuals. He promised that Russian leader would congratulate Vladimir Zelensky when he achieved the first successes in resolving the conflict in Donbas and improving relations between Kiev and Moscow. Dmitry Peskov is sure that if success comes, it will be visible. He noted that Donbass is an internal Ukrainian problem that the Ukrainian President must solve. Dmitry Peskov urged Vladimir Zelensky to be guided by a clear plan set out in Minsk agreements.

It should be recalled that after his inauguration, Zelensky called a cease-fire in Donbass his key goal. In addition, he plans to return the land of Donbass and Crimea. President has already announced that he is dissolving Parliament.
