13.06.2023

On June, 12, employees of the Russian Center of the Russian Society for Education, Cultural and Business Cooperation in Istanbul organized an event dedicated to Russia Day. The meeting, which took place in one of the picturesque parks in the city center, brought together Russian compatriots with children and Turkish guests.

The historian Tatyana Grebenyuk spoke to the audience about the history of the holiday. A quiz was also held on the history of Russian statehood and geography of Russia for adults and children.

The lecture was followed by a concert, which opened with the Russian Traditions team's performance. Olga Burlutskaya, a guest performer from Moscow, sang Kalinka and Moscow Evenings.

The solemn concert ended with round dances and folk games.
