Representatives of 180 states to take part in World Youth Festival in Sochi

Russia expects at least 20,000 people to takep art in World Youth Festival next year, TASS reports. According to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, representatives of more than 180 countries will come to Sochi, where the youth forum will be held. The President spoke about this during his speech at the plenary session of the Russia-Africa summit on Thursday, July 27, in St. Petersburg.

The Russian leader invited young people from African states to join the festival.

According to him, within the framework of the New Generation program, young Africans regularly participate in study tours to Russia. Contacts are not lost with those Africans who studied at Russian universities.

The festival starts on March, 1, its guests and participants will gather in the Sirius Center in Sochi. It will become a platform where young people from different countries can make connections.

Russia has already hosted the Youth Festival three times already, but the organizers have no doubt that next year it will turn out to be even more interesting and brighter.

The 2nd Russia-Africa summit opened on July, 27 in St. Petersburg. It is attended by delegations from 49 countries of the African continent.
