The Center for Open Education in Russian will begin working in another African country, TASS reports. It will appear in Côte d'Ivoire this month. The center will be opened by the Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University (YSPU) and the local Methodist University.

The Russian and African universities concluded a corresponding agreement the day before, on October, 2. The document was signed by the heads of both universities during the visit of representatives of Côte d’Ivoire to Yaroslavl. The delegation was headed by the President of the Methodist University, Rene Nyalega, professor of philology.

YSPU Rector Mikhail Gruzdev recalled that the universities had established partnerships more than six months ago. Back then, guests from Russia visited Africa.

Mikhail Gruzdev has no doubt that cooperation between universities will make the two countries much closer.

Experienced Yaroslavl specialists will teach Russian in Côte d’Ivoire.
