Russia delivered 150 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza

Russia has provided nearly 150 tons of humanitarian aid to the civilian population of the Gaza Strip, with cargoes handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for distribution among those in need, RIA Novosti reports. According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, Russia actively participates in humanitarian actions to alleviate civilian suffering. 

Earlier, on November 10, a plane from Tatarstan delivered 25 tons of cargo, following a previous delivery on November 5 by the EMERCOM of the Russian Federation, consisting of 60 tons of aid, including food, hygiene products, mattresses, and pillows. 

Hospitals in the enclave received medicines, dressing materials and hemostatic agents. The humanitarian action was organized on the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin and on behalf of the Russian Government.
