The evacuation of Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip is encountering obstacles, primarily due to the stance adopted by Tel Aviv, as stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry. The ministry's spokesperson Maria Zakharova has expressed the hope that the Israeli authorities would soon grant the necessary authorization for the evacuation.

However, despite promises from the Israeli Foreign Ministry to issue the necessary permits for evacuation, the process has not started, and the reasons for the delays remain undisclosed. Moscow has compiled comprehensive lists, including citizens from other countries, and is prepared for evacuation.

As reported by Russky Mir earlier, approximately 600 Russian citizens are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to leave the Gaza Strip. Ambassador Anatoly Viktorov has reassured that intense collaboration with Egyptian authorities is ongoing to facilitate the evacuation. Additionally, the evacuation lists are being updated with the names of another three hundred individuals, predominantly from the CIS.

Once Egypt signals clearance, the embassy staff will engage in the evacuation using all available means of transportation.

Notably, the border crossing for foreigners, Palestinians with dual citizenship, and employees of international organizations was opened on November 1, aiming to facilitate the departure of around five hundred individuals from the enclave.
