Florian Philippot, head of the Patriots party, demanded that the French authorities abandon anti-Russian sanctions. In his opinion, the restrictions imposed by the European Union against Russia have a devastating effect on the French economy, TASS reports.

The politician has no doubt that the sanctions should be lifted. He noted that it was as a result of the sanctions that energy prices have skyrocketed.

Florian Filippo is sure that the time has come to break ties with the past, stop sanctions and leave the EU following the example of Great Britain. The politician called it economic patriotism.

The politician pointed out the disastrous effects of France's current economic policies, citing as an example the decline in production volumes in the country in the last month of 2023. This is the sharpest drop since the spring of 2020, he specified.
