Activities dedicated to Russian-French cultural relations start in Paris

Russian Spiritual and Cultural Center in Paris will host a series of scientific activities as a part of public humanitarian project Overcoming National and Political Borders… Cultural Synergy of Russia and France, website of Gorky Institute of World Literature of Russian Academy of Sciences informs.

It will be dedicated to Russian-French and European relations in the field of literature, history and establishment of religious movement. Conferences, round tables and book exhibitions will be arranged with participation of the Russian Embassy employees in France, Russian Ministry of Culture and Russian Foundations rendering financial support to the project.

International scientific conference about the period of mastering French literature and religious-philosophic environment by Russian writers and philosophers of XIX – XX centuries will open a series of scientific events. The conference will be devoted to the impact of French literature and philosophic movements on mentality of Russian writers and intellectual classes. Leading scientific workers of Gorky Institute of World Literature and Paris-Sorbonne University will make presentations at it.

Two round tables and one scientific conference dedicated to Russian Revolution of 1917, anti-fascist movement of the thirties and influence and mutual penetration of Russian and French religious and philosophic thought will be organized in October. Prominent literature critics, historians and philosophers of Russia and France will give speeches at these events.

Besides, book exhibitions, concerts of classic music and film demonstrations will be arranged as a part of this major humanitarian project.
