Beijing will not achieve the abolition of US sanctions which Washington introduced after China's acquisition of Russian weapons, senator Alexei Pushkov says.

According to the chairperson of the Federation Council's Committee on Information Policy, the United States will never lift it as "showing off is more important than money" for them, RIA Novosti reports.

Nevertheless, the Russian politician is sure that the usual way of US sanctions will not work with China.

In addition, the White House will face a difficult problem since many countries buy Russian weapons. In particular, Delhi, Ankara, Riyadh consider the acquisition of S-400 missile system.

The US president administration announced that Beijing purchased Russian aircrafts and S-400 air defense. The transactions took place after the introduction of anti-Russian restrictions contradicting the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act.

China called sanctions a vivid demonstration of great-power hegemony. Through its actions Washington hurts the base of international relations.

China's Ministry of National Defense noted that Russian-Chinese cooperation is an ordinary cooperation between sovereign states that corresponds to the norms of international law. Washington has no right to interfere in it.
