Russia delivered a batch of insulin to Venezuela

More than a million packages of short- and medium-acting human insulins have been delivered to Venezuela from Russia, TASS reports. The medicine was brought to the South American country by the Russian company Geopharm. According to the representative of the pharmaceutical company, it will last for three months for all patients in Venezuela who need insulin.

In addition to the vital drug, almost 50,000 more reusable syringe pens were brought to Venezuela. They make it possible to administer the drug safely and conveniently.

More than two million Venezuelans have been diagnosed with diabetes. Many of them require insulin injections every day.

Russian pharmaceutical companies are expanding the range of products supplied to Caracas. In addition to insulin, it also includes flu vaccines. Russia has already delivered more than seven million units of insulin to Venezuela. Next year it is planned to start production of insulin in Venezuela.
