Russia sent shipment of wheat flour to Central African Republic

Russia sent a batch of wheat flour to the Central African Republic, RIA Novosti reports. According to Russian Ambassador Alexander Bikantov, assistance to the African country is provided free of charge.

He also noted that the day before he met with the head of the government of the Central African Republic, Felix Molua. The Russian diplomat said that during the meeting they discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin promised to supply Russian food free of charge to six African countries: Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Mali, Somalia, Central African Republic and Eritrea. Each will receive about 50 tons of grain. Russia also covers all transport costs. The President stated this during the plenary session of the Russia-Africa forum in St. Petersburg.
