The Russian Literature. History and Modernity exhibition began working in the capital of Vietnam, TASS reports. It is located in the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo. The exhibition was included in a program aimed at promoting Russian culture in Vietnam. It was organized by the Russian House and the Institute of Translation.

According to Anna Esparza, who was involved in preparing the exhibition project, among the exhibits are copies of documents that are stored in the archives. She added that usually only experts have access to them. Autographs of the classics of great Russian literature - Pushkin, Gogol, Tolstoy - are displayed in Hanoi. Now everyone who is interested in Russian culture will be able to get acquainted with them.

The exhibition has become a dialogue in which not only classics, but also modern authors participate. The expert called this aspect of the project very important. It testifies to the continuity between generations of writers. The themes raised by the classics continue to develop today.
