Foreign students competed in their knowledge of Russian at online Olympiad

About 70 foreign students from universities in Russia and neighboring countries took part in the international online Olympiad in the Russian language,  the website of the Astrakhan State Medical University, reports.

International students from universities in St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Saratov, Khabarovsk, Astrakhan and other cities of Russia, as well as neighboring countries, took part in the Olympiad.

The program included several stages. Participants created and voiced videos about their countries, wrote essays about Russia and the Russian language. 30 students reached the finals and were asked to answer five questions about Russia and prepare a monologue on the proposed topics. 

Students from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were the best among the representatives of neighbouring countires. In the category of non-CIS countries, awards went to students from Palestine, Nigeria, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco and Uganda.
