Aircraft with humanitarian aid from Russia landed in India

Two planes with humanitarian aid from Russia arrived in India, TASS reports. The first board of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation landed at night, it has already begun to be unloaded. The second plane arrived at the airport near Delhi in the early morning of April 29.

Earlier, the Russian authorities decided to support India "in the spirit of friendship and especially privileged strategic partnership." This measure is aimed at countering the spread of coronavirus infection. Recently in India the number of diseases has increased dramatically.

The Indian Red Cross Society acts as the consignee. It will distribute the received cargo to hospitals and other medical institutions.

More than 22 tons of humanitarian aid was delivered from Russia, including more than 70 ventilators, 150 monitors, equipment for the production of oxygen. In addition, India will receive 200,000 packages of medicine.

Russian Ambassador Nikolai Kudashev noted that Russia is monitoring the epidemiological situation in India. According to him, it is very worrisome.
